Jalalabad State Medical University


Jalal-Abad State University was founded in 1993 and is a public institution designed to provide higher education in following fields: Medical; electronics; energy; construction; education; agro-industrial complex. Currently there are 5 faculties and 2 colleges in JaSU, with an enrollment of more than 4,300 students.

The university adopted a multi-level system of education, which includes four levels of training:

Karakul city is located along the Bishkek-Osh highway at a distance of 395 km from Bishkek and 176 km from Jalal- Abat. Faculty of Technology is located in town of Tash-Kumyr. The city is located in the western foothills of the Ferghana Range, on the banks of the same river (a tributary of the Kara-Darya). Jalal-Abat is the political, economic and cultural center of the Jalalabat region.

Kyrgyz Russian Slavic University


Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University was founded in 1993 on the basis of the Treaty “On friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance” between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation. In 2004 by the decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, as an expression of appreciation and respect for enormous support and encouragement in founding the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, the university was given a name of the First President of Russian Federation Boris Nikolayevich Yeltsin.

The Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University is one of the prestigious institutes of higher education in Kyrgyzstan. Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University has 8 faculties containing a total of 80 academic departments, 6 research centers, 15 scientific and educational centers, 4 laboratories, a law center, a medical center, and 25 institutes of students’ aesthetic education.

Altai State Medical University


Altai State Medical University was founded in 1954. The University is located in Barnaul, Russia. Barnaul is the administrative center of Altai Krai,located along the Ob River in the West Siberian Plain. At the end of 2014, the city had a population of around 700,000 people.

The establisher of the University is the Russian Federation. Full powers of the establisher conducts the Ministry of Health of Russia. Altai State Medical University is recognized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. It is a state-financed organization, established in accordance with the applicable Laws of the Russian Federation.

In 1960, there took place the first graduation of doctors.

In 1975, the Institute added pharmaceutical faculty that progressively grows, and in 1998 at the Faculty of powerful office opened Distance learning.

In 1990, the first students took the Dental Faculty. What is more, in 2002 opened a University Dental Clinic, and there has been developed the most advanced technology of dental restoration. The University is rapidly developing and increasing the volume of training.

In 1993, the Center of Continuing Education, opened own system of certification of medical specialists.

In 1994 Altai State Medical Institute was renamed to Altai State Medical University (Order of the State Committee of Russia from 15.06.1994 ? 586, Order of Ministry of Health of Russian Federation from 23.06.1994, No 127 )

In 2001, the University offered medical-prophylactic faculty and in 2004 was established the Faculty of Higher Nursing Education.


Nizhny Novgorod State Medical Academy


As of 2014 the rector was Shakhov Boris Yevgenevich (Russian Шахов Борис Евгеньевич), D.Sc., Honored Worker of Science RF.

This medical school is currently ranked number 7 out of 46 higher medical institutions in Russia, acknowledged by World Health Organization and is recognised by the governments of some other countries which send their students to this academy for medical education and training.

Volgograd State Medical University


Volgograd State Medical University is located in Volgograd which is situated in the southern part of Russia on the west bank of the Volga River. It started as Stalingrad Medical Institute founded in 1935. In 1993 it got the status of the Academy, and in 2003 it was granted the status of the University. It is currently headed by the prominent Russian scientist, Academician of the Russian Academy for Medical Sciences, Professor Vladimir I. Petrov. The university is listed in the WHO list of world medical schools and also in the International Medical education directory provided by FAIMER.

Kazan State Medical University


Based primarily in Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia, the Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) is a federal university made up of nine faculties.

Kazan State Medical University is a multifunctional and multi-levelled state institution of higher learning in medicine. It meets both personal and social needs in acquiring education in medicine, in developing biomedical and clinical sciences, as well as broadening scientific knowledge of medical sciences. KSMU functions on the basis of self-governance and belongs to the system of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Ministry of Health of Russia. The highest body or KSMU self governance is academic council with university’s regulations. On March 6, 1994, the university was issued with a license number 16 G – 235 by the State Committee of Russian Federation of Higher Education which grants the right to perform activities in the field of professional education. Under the auspices of Kazan State Medical University there work a pharmaceutical and two medical colleges in Kazan, one medical college Mary EI Republic, lycee and biomedical classes on the secondary school basis. This complex educational system in the framework of the university provides the continuous higher education of medicine. Kazan State Medical University carries on an aimed preparation of experts in different fields of medicine for 10 republics, Povolzhie and Ural regions. According to the results of a rating of medical schools, KSMU takes the 16 place among 86 other universities. Founded in 1814, KSMU was the second university institution to be founded in Kazan, the third medical university institution in the Russia.
